Dear Tiffin City Schools Community,

 I am reaching out to you as the newly named Superintendent of Tiffin City Schools. This is a daunting assignment, and I am honored at this opportunity to serve. Believe me, my acceptance was based on all the good people and deserving students that I have met in my time with TCS and all the possibilities I see for our schools.

 The Leadership Team and I realize that this is another time of transition for Tiffin City Schools. Let me assure you that we will face this time together with a focus on seamlessly moving forward, not looking backward. We want a leadership transition that allows your important work to proceed without distraction. I so appreciate your resiliency and efforts on behalf of our students.

 Let me be transparent about what will happen in the next thirty days. The Leadership Team’s focus will be on the needs and decisions we face. To that end, our District Leadership Team, Mr. Boes, Mr. Cook, Mrs. Tuite, and I, will immediately address the following:

 1)    A clear, transparent organizational structure – Clear roles and responsibilities will be identified, along with a revised organizational chart.

 2)    Plans for moving forward thoughtfully and intentionally – The Leadership Team, with your input, will evaluate how best to support the vision and mission of Tiffin City Schools.

3)    Communication – We will emphasize timely and accurate information-sharing.  An essential first step in this process is to listen to all of you.
